Jonathan Calvin Walker!

He is here, and he is absolutely beautiful!

Jonathan was born last night, 6:47 pm, weighing a whopping 8 pounds 15 ounces and measuring 21 inches long! What a big boy! I was there for the entire birth, and I must say Mandy was amazing!! She delivered completely natural, no medications — only once she half-heartedly asked, “Is it too late for an epidural?” when she was nine centimeters. Incredible! Above is the happy family… my beautiful sister doesn’t look like she just gave birth, does she?

I bawled like a baby when Jonathan was finally born! It is so wonderful to have him here! And to hold him, too! I am going to visit her later today at the hospital–will snap more pictures.
