Hey all!
Did you know there is a popular method (philosophy?) of mothering called babywearing? Did you know that there is even an international babywearing week? Did you know that there are countless, countless options for carrying your baby along with you throughout the day–so many it could make your head spin? Well, this is about [...]

This is Real Life
Posted in Anna Grace, Picture Practice on November 5, 2009 | 1 Comment »

This is why I did not do Anna’s [...]

While I typically like my photos in bright, vivid colors, sometimes it’s fun to have that “vintage” feel to certain pictures: faded, slightly sepia or brown, with a lower contrast. I realized that Picnik has several ways to achieve some different vintage-feel to your photos.
1) 1960’s Vintage
Picnik comes with this effect: under Create –> Effects, [...]

Fall Pictures, take 1

I know I mentioned yesterday that our fall picture-taking playdate was postponed, but I had forgotten to say we had a first attempt last week before the leaves really began to change. That experience was enough to make me fully realize that I do not have what it takes to photograph moving & walking babies for [...]

Rain! It canceled a picture-taking playdate for us this afternoon — a couple of us gals were trying to snap some pictures while the leaves are so lovely and colorful! Hopefully we will get another shot one afternoon this week!
Here are some (really, really, really) random tidbits:
I know it has been a while since I [...]
Facelift: Anna’s Updated Room
Posted in Anna Grace, Craftiness, Facelifts on October 27, 2009 | 2 Comments »
We have shifted Anna’s room around quite a bit since she has been born. Her crib has changed locations three times. We moved the recliner out when she was around six months and I was nursing less. It’s funny how many times we’ve changed it up since her little room is, well, little. It is [...]
Picture Practice: Playdate I
Posted in Anna Grace, Picture Practice on October 26, 2009 | Leave a Comment »
It literally has been “picture practice” for me lately! I mentioned that a good friend recently purchased a dSLR camera, and she has been bringing it to our weekly playdates so we all can have a chance to play with her new camera and try it out! I have been meaning to show you some of [...]
